This Saturday 3rd December
Below are some general details and info for this Saturday:
- Start times: 8:15AM for U6 – U8s (NO SECOND SESSION)
- Set up help: Parents of U8 GIRLS are on set up – please make the effort to arrive at 7:20am to help out. All other parents are requested to help with pack-up from 10am please.
- Your individual registration number: Please make sure your child is wearing it! It makes it very hard for us to be inputting children’s details at the end of a race without their tag. Much more efficient to scan!
- Coffee van: Not this week unfortunately. But you can get your caffeine fix locally from Thomas Street Grocery (116A Thomas St).
- BBQ: Yes! The parents of U6 BOYS are on BBQ cooking duty this weekend.
- Bananas: YES! We have lots of free bananas each week (donated from Coles) – make sure you grab some.
- Merchandise: No sales on the day, but any online orders can be picked-up.
- Wet weather: Check out the wet weather button on our website (in the top left hand corner), which we will update at 7.30am on Saturday mornings if the weather is concerning.
- Program: Here is the program for this week – CLICK HERE
- Donations of old uniforms: If you have any uniforms that your children have outgrown, please drop them in to our merch area. We all love to recycle and reuse! There’s a planet out there to look after.
Next Saturday 10th December session
Saturday 10th December is our last session for the year, and will include a Christmas theme. We are also inviting Brighton Little Aths to join us because they have to leave their track to allow for Dendy Carols Preparations.
Last Saturday 26th November
We were finally able to hold program 3 for the season, and it meant some new events for some of our kids! Well done to the U9s who ran the 800m for the first time at our club, and also hurdles finally on the track itself. We had a couple of falls (nothing serious) – and were so impressed that the children immediately got back up and finished the race.
A special shout out to those boys and girls who were a bit intimidated at the prospect of running 800m for the first time, but who DIDN’T GIVE UP and achieved it. Never say die!
And some others looked like they’d done that before or were born for middle distance – you know who you are!
A FREE Grill’d Voucher for every member!
The newly opened Grill’d Hampton has joined us as one of our Community Partners for the 2022 / 23 Season. How good is that?!
For the month of December, Sandy Little Athletics Club will be one of 3 Community Clubs that will be participating in their well known “Local Matters Community Program”, a program designed to give back to the Community.
We are gifting every Sandy Little Athletics Club member with a Free Voucher for either a Grill’d Hampton Burger or Salad – WHO DOESN’T LOVE FREE STUFF?
In order to increase our chances of winning the Local Matters Program, we ask that you use your voucher in store during the month of December. You will be given tokens in store when you visit Grill’d. Please allocate these to Sandy Little Aths. The more tokens, the higher chance our club has of winning. If we win, we receive a donation of funds from Grill’d which will help assist our club.
To collect your FREE Voucher please visit the Canteen at the track on either Saturday 3rd or Saturday 10th of December.
