We are back and ready for a hopefully brighter 2021!
Sandy Little Aths starts up again this Saturday morning with EVERYONE commencing at 8.15am for our annual Inter Centre Multi Event Session.
This session is going to be hosted by us (Sandy Members), but at Brighton Little Athletics Club in Dendy Park. We asked BLAC if we could host at their venue rather than Moorabbin the first week back so as to make it easier for everyone involved.
So Sandy Members, as we are the official hosts of this event – we will need your help! All of the details you need to know are below:
COVID Safe Practices in Place – read below for specific details in relation to Brighton Little Aths Track & QR Code
Saturday 16th January at Dendy Park with a start time for all of 8.15am
PARENT DUTY for Saturday – we will be signing up people on the day.
Coles Patches – The Little Aths major sponsor Coles has requested everyone to make sure they have a coles patch on their singlet/crop. You can collect a patch from Andrew at registration.
Our Merchandise Stand will not be operating on Saturday – however, if you do need something urgently please contact Nicole on [email protected] as she has all the uniforms with her at home.
Given the current climate, we still are adhering to our COVID safe practices. This has been communicated to both Centres but as Sandy is hosting this event, we ask you please take the lead on all the great things we have implemented for COVID safe return to play.
QR codes will be at all Age Group Marshalling areas. This Area is located on the ‘track permitter fence’ (if you are standing on the track looking at the Club Room, it is the track fence line to the right) All members of both clubs must sign in via the QR Code here because of the numerous entry points to Dendy Aths Track.
Parent Helpers must sign in at the designated marquee and collect the appropriate high vision vest.
Each athletic station will have hand sanitisation and equipment cleaning resources. We ask all athletes and parents to sanitise hands before completing a station and then once they have finished. Equipment must be cleaned after each use and items such as antibacterial wipes will be made available to specific areas such as discus, shot put and blocks.
Masks are to be carried at all times by patrons 12 years of age and older and worn if physical distancing of 1.5 metres can not be maintained.
Face Masks must be worn inside the clubrooms at all times by all patrons 12 years of age and older.
Access to the Clubrooms is for Toilets only and not for socialising or storing of personal items. Please wear your mask inside.
Athlete Groups of 100 are allowed. Parent Volunteers and Coaches falling outside that number. The groups themselves must be 5metres apart from any other group.
Spectators are welcome to the track providing they follow the social distancing rules and mask where social distancing can not be maintained.
We will maintain our cleaning routine and offer sanitisation at each athletic station
No physical contact i.e. high fives/ hugs, handshakes.
Athletes must be wearing their club uniform including competition patch and are encouraged to bring their own water bottles, towels and other personal items to avoid sharing where possible.
If you are unwell or even one of your children are not well, then please stay home.
We’ll be at the Moorabbin Athletics Track from the 23rd January at GR Bricker Reserve (off Rowans Road which is just off south road). Less than 10minutes from Glamis Avenue.
Parking may be a little tricky, so we will identify nearby streets and places to go if the car-parking area is full. Junior Cricket is on at the same time as us!
Thanks for all your support – and see you on Saturday morning!
