Uniform & Merchandise

Sandringham Little Athletics Club requires all registered athletes to wear the approved centre uniform. Each athlete must wear the correct uniform at all competition events which comprises Sandringham Little Athletics Centre Tshirt (Under 6’s), singlet or crop-top with the SLAC and sponsors logo in the correct place and black shorts. The shorts or leggings worn must be plain black.
 
The registration patch must be worn at all times, and should be attached to the front of the T-Shirt, singlet or crop-top at chest position. The registration chest patch is to show the athlete is registered and clearly identifies the athlete for recording of times.  Please refer to the image below for the correct location of the registration patch on the singlet and crop-top.

Any athlete entering Regional or State Little Athletics events governed by Little Athletics Victoria are required to wear the correct uniform. Compression shorts, pants or bike shorts are not permitted to be worn alone however, can be worn underneath black running shorts providing no logos are visible. The actual leggings/bike pants or shorts must be at least 10cm above the knee.  Please refer to the images below for the Little Athletics Victoria rules for acceptable sizes of logos on shorts.

Uniforms can be purchased from the Members Hub marquee during each meet of the season. You can also purchase uniforms on-line by clicking on the BUY ONLINE button

Additional Merchandise

Sandringham Little Athletics Club also offer hoodies and warm up jackets. These are optional purchases and not mandatory but give your athletic a sense of team club spirit especially when everyone is wearing one.  These can be purchased at the Members Hub marquee during each meet. Footwear

Good supportive footwear suitable to your child is suggested. As they grow and develop other footwear options such as waffles or middle distance shoes are things to consider.

Spikes & Footwear Spike shoes will only be permitted to be worn in the events listed in the table below.

  • Spikes must not exceed 7mm for Track events.
  • Spikes must not exceed 9mm for High Jump, Long Jump, Triple Jump and Javelin events.
  • Most venues including Lakeside stadium, do not allow needle / pin spikes.
