How fun was last week’s Saturday session?! So great to see so many kids around the track and all those PBs on the day.
This week’s email covers:
- This Saturday 18th Feb – GO SANDY AT REGIONALS!
- Peter Kiploks and Coaches – thank you, you rock
This Saturday 18th February
A large number of the SLAC children (U9-U17), their parents and committee members will be attending the Regional Track & Field competition this Saturday. Good luck to everyone and in particular the U9s, as it’s their first individual competition at regionals. We hope Barnaby can get his arm right just in time!
For those parents attending Regionals, please check here to see when you have been allocated a spot for parent duty.
For those not competing at regionals, we will still be running a session at Sandy. Please note the slightly later start time for the U9s though – you’ll join the later session at 9:45am.
Parent help would be great in U6-U8 as most of the SLAC committee are at relays
Below are some further details for this Saturday:
- Start times: 8:15AM for U6–U8s and 9:45AM for U9-U17 (modified session)

- Coffee van: YES!
- BBQ: YES! (please volunteer to help if you can)
- Zooper doopers: YES!

Peter Kiploks and Coaches – thank you, you rock!
A big thanks again to all of our coaches (who VOLUNTEER) at the club. In particular thanks to all the relay coaches Amelia, Chloe, Amy, Natasha, Zoe, Scarlett, Todd, Shane, Isabella, Isabelle and Barry.
We can’t thank the coaches enough for the time they put in to our little athletes. It would be lovely if parents could say a quick thank you to their children’s age group coaches over the next few weeks for the season.
And of course a huge thanks again to Peter Kiploks for his 25 years of voluntary service to Sandy Little Aths as Coach, Committee Member and President. Peter was awarded a gorgeous glass trophy last Saturday morning as a thank you from all of us at Sandringham Little Athletics Club.
See you all on Saturday!
Regards,
SLAC Committee
